What is Slingo?

Slingo combines slot and bingo gameplay, hence the name, which is made up of half of each. If that sounds like it won’t work, bear with us. Trust in the process.

The large 5x5 grid is the bingo part, and although they look like reels, they won’t spin.

Instead, the 1x5 slot reel is underneath this and will spin each round. Each time a number comes in that matches a column above, then it’ll get dabbed off. Of course, you can also get Wilds and Super Wilds, but more on that later.

Who made Slingo?

Slingo was created in 1994 by Sal Falciglia, a New Jersey real estate developer, who went on to found the Slingo company. This was then sold to Gaming Realms in 2015, which launched the game into online casino stardom.

Under Gaming Realms, Slingo has expanded its library to include almost 70 Slingo Originals, which include both the partnered games and the proprietary ones.

How to play Slingo

If you’re worried that learning how to play Slingo will be too difficult, then don’t worry, the games essentially play themselves.

Press Spin. This will take your wager from you and award you with a set number of spins, usually somewhere around 10 free spins.

Watch as the reels spin and dab off any matching numbers from the columns above. If you land any Wilds or Super Wilds, then you’ll get to decide which numbers to use these on. Wilds can be used for any number in the column, while Super Wilds can be used anywhere on the grid.

Try to get winning bingo lines, such as completing horizontal or vertical lines. Other games such as Slingo Tetris will ask you to complete particular shapes for bonuses.

Once your free spins are finished, you can pay for additional spins, but these can get expensive quickly! Consider this strategy with caution.
