Sean Long, a scrum-half for Rugby Football League club St HelenÂ's, has gotten himself in trouble over comments made in his auto-biography about betting within the sport. LongÂ's book, titled Â"Booze, Brawls, Sex and ScandalsÂ" certainly lives up to its name as it has already attracted all the wrong attention from the RFL in a similar fashion as Matt Le Tissiers book earlier this year which landed him in trouble with the police and FA despite no charges being bought.

Long states in his book that he and his team mates regulary place bets on matches they are taking part in by simple asking friends to lay the money down for them – he even mentioned his former club Bradford Bulls took part in the same dealings.

He goes on to say Â"Why not? It makes the game more interesting. It's not like you've got inside information, like me and Glees did. It's like betting on football and saying 'I'll have £10 on Rooney to score'.Â"

RFLÂ's communications manager, Craig Spence is said to be looking to interview Long on the matters raised in his book and said that he could face misconduct charges if he doesnÂ't give over the names of people who are betting within the game.

Sean Long is set to join Hull after the final against Leeds this weekend and he has even been previously banned from the RFL in 2004 for a similar offence.
