England v Belarus Betting Odds

After an exhausted performance against Ukraine over the weekend resulting in the first loss of EnglandÂ's World Cup 2010 qualifying campaign they now come up against strugglers Belarus tomorrow at Wembley Stadium.

With England at 3/1 to score within the first 10 minutes tomorrow it seems the bookies are certain to see an English victory despite the defensive blunders which allowed Ukraine to win at the weekend.

However, the odds may not be so sure after all – Wayne Rooney will miss the game with an injury and Steven Gerrard has been ruled out after picking up a knock during training.

It is important for England to end the qualification stages – despite already having qualified for World Cup 2010 in South Africa next summer – as so far he has had a great run during the group stages and will want to prove what he can do with the English team without any doubts.

An upset is not completely off the table, with EnglandÂ's injury woes and coming off the back of a defeat sees Belarus get a health 12/1 for a win and 6/1 for a draw. Whilst weÂ'll be backing for an English victory – it still feels that you canÂ't entirely rule out a slip up from an England team that knows there is nothing to play for in the game.
