Television broadcaster Five have announced the launch of a new bingo website, Five Bingo, along with a new TV programme The Free Bingo Show, which is set to stream live over the internet daily.

Five already operate an online casino but are now expanding into the world of online bingo, in a joint venture with PartyGaming. The one-hour show will air weekday mornings at 11am and will feature cash prizes, while being free to play, as the name would suggest.

FiveÂ's head of digital media Jonathan Lewis said: Â"The business model that underpins commercial TV is changing and broadcasters must diversify their revenue streams. Gaming activities such as FiveÂ's online bingo and casino services are just one such example of how broadcasters can broaden their revenue base beyond traditional sources.Â"
