The schedule for the 44th World Series of Poker has been officially announced.

The series will run from 29 May - 15 July 2013 at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.

A total of 62 events are scheduled this time round, one more than last year, including the first ever High Rollers bracelet event from 26-28 June.

A $1,500 event on the opening weekend will award $1m to the winner, while the showpiece Main Event begins on 6 July.

Last year a total of 74,766 entries were recorded for bracelet events, the second highest total ever and only 1% off the all-time mark.
