Silverman was only in third-place in chips coming into the final day of play. Of the remaining 12 players, Team PokerStars Pro Vanessa Selbst and defending champion Igor Kurganov stood out. Kurganov had won last yearÂ's equivalent tournament as was trying for unprecedented back-to-back victories. Selbst had the chip-lead and was coming off the back of a win in the winner of the $25,000 High Roller at the 2013 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure.

However Kurganov could only manage seventh place and Selbst, who had looked so strong fell in fourth place. When three-handed Silverman, Gregg and Kamar struck a deal that earned each €760,000 with €15,000 and the title left to play for. Silverman took first-place and the extra €15,000 when his AJ hit trips jacks against GreggÂ's pocket deuces in the final hand.

Today the highly anticipated €100,000 Super High Roller will begin, signing the PokerStars and Monte-Carlo Casino European Poker Tour Grand Final off in style.
