World renowned golfer Tiger Woods is to host ‘Tiger JamÂ' - a $10,000 buy-in poker tournament in Las Vegas this weekend. The action is also set to be filmed for an episode of the World Poker Tour television in the future.

‘Tiger JamÂ' is a two-day charity event to benefit the college-access programs of the Tiger Woods Foundation and will be played over 17-18 May at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. Tiger Woods, the number 1 ranked golfer in the world has already raised around $14 million through his foundation in the past 15 years.

Well known players Phil Hellmuth, Doyle Brunson and Mike Sexton will be involved in the fund-raising and among the prizes on offer to winners of ‘Tiger JamÂ' include a round of golf with Tiger himself, pro-am playing spots in PGA Tour events; and autographed memorabilia.
