Caesars Entertainment are planning to launch their very own online poker site in Nevada this summer, according to the news agency Reuters. A spokesperson for the US gambling group said that the hoped to promote the prospective service to the great and the good of the poker world at the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas, which starts on the 29 May.
In April Ultimate Poker became the first site to legally offer online poker to Nevada based customers. Since then several gaming providers have made plans to utilise the state to host online poker. In the future US based sites could generate billions of dollars for the gambling industry and local state government.
Speaking to Reuters, spokesperson for Caesars Interactive Seth Palansky said: "We anticipate our arrival to be sometime this summer,Â" adding that the service will carry the WSOP brand name. The online gambling group 888 Holdings are expected to provide the technology for the project.
