The action at the World Series of Poker is coming thick and fast, with Events 8,9 and 10 crowning winners over the past couple of days. Event #10: $1,500 Limit Hold'em saw victory and $191,605 for Brent Wheeler. Cliff Josephy bested an impressive field to come win Event #9, the $3,000 No-Limit Hold'em Shootout and earlier on, Event #8 was claimed by Michael Malm.

Brian Wheeler came out of a gruelling 121 hands of heads-up play against to win the first golden bracelet of his career and capture the $191,605 cash prize. Wheeler, who hails from Chicago has over three quarters of a million dollars in career tournament earnings boosted by 14 World Series of Poker cashes.

Not long before, Event #9Â's Holdem Shootout concluded with Day 3 pitting the ten remaining players, who had once been part of the 477 starting field, against each other. In the end Cliff Jospehy managed to add another bracelet to the one he won in 2005, besting the impressive competition and winning the $299,486 first prize.

The moral of the story in Event #8 is that anyone can win a game at the WSOP on their day as Michael Malm negotiated three hard days of action at the felt, and competition from a host of stars to claim the gold WSOP bracelet and the $225,104 in first-place prize money. Malm only registered for this tournament after missing the registration for a deepstack tournament. Amazingly he beat some of the top professional mixed game players in the world to take his first WSOP championship.
