A Merseyside mother has won the first £100,000 prize on a new lottery scratchcard.
Jayne Devereux from the Wirral scooped the cash after matching three icons on the National Lottery Silver & Gold scratchcard, making the 26-year-old the first of five players to win the top prize.
The administrator has already put the money towards a luxury white Vauxhall Mokka 4x4 and is planning a family holiday to Disneyland in Florida, while a move out of rented accommodation and into a home of her own is also on the agenda.
"I just knew I wanted a scratchcard that day – I had a weird feeling,Â" she told the Click Liverpool website.
"I sat outside and scratched it and started to cry, I didn't believe it was going to happen to me but it did!
"I ran back to work and my boss checked it and said, 'Jayne, you have won'.
"I just cried for half an hour waiting for the lottery office to open so I could tell them.
