The World Series of Poker has crowned a champion for Event #26: $1,000 Seniors No-Limit Hold'em Championship, and that champion was Kevin Lind, who took a gold bracelet and $634,809 in the process. He also saw his name immortalised on the famous Golden Eagle Trophy, which honours winners of the Seniors Championship.

Lind, who had playing a WSOP tournament on his bucket list, survived a field of 4,407 and three days of hard play to record the victory. He beat Dana Ott heads-up to secure the title after establishing himself on Day Two by playing big pot poker against his remaining rivals. Heads-up play itself was played in a more old fashioned style, with the finalists waiting for the right cards and it was settled when both players faced up with big hands, with LindÂ's straight hold up against OttÂ's trips.

Event #27: $3,000 No Limit Hold'em (Mixed Max) has also finished and it is Isaac Hagerling who is celebrating, after the American won the tournament for $372,387 and of course, a prestigious WSOP gold bracelet. The tournament, which saw nine-handed play, six handed play and a heads-up format taking place over four days saw the competition whittled down to just Hagerling and Max Steinberg in the final. It was a tight affair which could have gone either way, but it was eventually sealed by Hagerling who has down wonders for his tournament earnings – which stood at $14,393 before this event.
