WSOP latest from Events #45 and #46

There are a number of tournaments currently running at the World Series of Poker. Event #45: $1,500 Ante-Only No-Limit Hold'em has just completed its second day of action and it is Paul Lieu Leads who currently leads the final table. Alexey Makarov is also in a strong position in another tournament, leading the lat 17 Players left in Event #46: $3,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-low 8-or-Better.
Day 2 of Event #45 was a short affair, with 71 players vying for the chance of a coveted golden bracelet and the $201,399 that come with first place. It took less than 18 levels to cut the field down to the final nine players, who will resume play tomorrow afternoon. Paul Lieu took a big pot in one of the last hands of the day to establish himself in the lead in Day 3 two high profile players, Chris Moorman and Blair Hinkle, are not far off however.
Over on the felt at Event #46 Alexey Makarov is putting on an impressive display and is out in front of the remaining runners ahead of the Day 3 action tomorrow. He is one of 17 remaining players still alive in the tournament, consistently adding to his chip stack through the course of the day. He will be heartened to see high profile players Mike Matusow and Joe Hachem exiting the tournament before the final table stage.
