WednesdayÂ's Powerball jackpot is an estimated $284m after no ticket won the top prize in the most recent draw.

The winning numbers on Saturday were 24-25-34-37-54 with a Powerball of 29.

Players in California, Colorado, Florida, New Jersey, New York, Oklahoma, Texas and West Virginia matched just the five main numbers to win $1m, although no ticket holders scooped $2m for matching the same numbers but with a Power Play multiplier.

There were 941,865 prize winners in total, with non-jackpot payouts reaching nearly $15.7m.

Powerball tickets cost $2 each, although players can purchase an extra $1 Power Play feature to multiply any non-jackpot winnings.
