Six UK contruction workers have been made over £300,000 richer after deciding to play in TuesdayÂ's EuroMillions draw.
The syndicate, which has been working Glasgow but all live near each other in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, had never played the EuroMillions before, but playing in TuesdayÂ's draw turned out to be a life-changing decision.
All six of them have pocketed a £55,527.90 share of the prize, with the total prize money standing at £333, 167.40.
The Â"Six of the BestÂ" syndicate successfully managed to guess five numbers from the main draw and a lucky star number, in a week where the jackpot had rolled over to over £114m and will rollover again for FridayÂ's draw after there were no claimed winning tickets.
The group realised that they had won the astonishing prize on Wednesday morning.
Nigel Himsworth, a member of the syndicate, said: Â"I buy a ticket for EuroMillions when it's a rollover and had bought mine one morning before work. A couple of the lads are new to the team and we were chatting and decided we would give it a go as a syndicate.
"We each put on three Lucky Dips and on the Wednesday morning we checked our tickets. Four of us had checked our tickets on the way to work and when we arrived Ashley (Robinson, a fellow syndicate member) checked what turned out to be the winning ticket. We heard him shouting a mile away.Â"
The next estimated jackpot for the EuroMillions draw on Friday stands at £128m.
