A father and daughter from Warrington have pocketed £200,000 each in the PeopleÂ's Postcode Lottery.
Kevin Cunliffe and his daughter Charlotte were fortunate enough to have their postcode selected in the random draw for the October Postcode Millions competition.
Kevin, an engineering manager, said: "We are going to pay off our mortgage on the family home, so for us both to be mortgage free, it's a fantastic feeling."
There were 166 winning residents overall, who shared a prize pot of £2m, half of which is distributed among five £200,000 prizes for players in the winning postcode.
Princess Avenue was the full winning postcode on this occasion, and the other £1m is divided among other players in the winning area of central Warrington.
Â"My heart dropped when I saw that it was our postcode that was drawn as the big winner,Â" Charlotte, a customer adviser, said. Â"I want to buy a house and this money means that it is possible. I'm 21 next week and it's the best birthday present ever."
The PeopleÂ's Postcode Lottery is a charity company where players can win prizes but also raise money for various charitable causes.
