Terry Bradbury used to earn no more than £25-a-week alongside Terry Venables and Jimmy Greaves at the centre of ChelseaÂ's midfield, but has been set up for life by a lottery lucky dip.

The 75-year-old – who also turned out for Wrexham and Leyton Orient over a 16 year career – was the sole winner from Lotto draw on Saturday 4 June, scooping a total of £5,517,016.

Mr. Bradbury and his wife Eleanor said they plan to use the money to purchase a villa in Spain, and provide security for their four sons and nine grandchildren.

Mrs. Bradbury said: Â"The villa will be place where our family can always go for holidays.

Â"It is wonderful to think that none of our children will have a mortgage or any stress for the rest of their lives.

Â"This win provides our family with security and this is what pleases Terry and myself more than anything.Â"

The pair live together in Buxton, and bought their lucky dip ticket from a WH Smith in the Derbyshire town.

Mr. Bradbury added: Â"I had a good time at Chelsea, enjoyed every minute – all through my playing career. This is just the icing on the cake for Ann and I.

Â"We will definitely be continuing to play Lotto, and will probably stick with lucky dips too.Â"
