These games could determine playoff positioning as we near the end of the regular season

news

There are a few games tonight that are going to be worth watching because of the playoff implications involved. We'll take a look at each of these games and why they'll be so important to each team. Our first is the Milwaukee Bucks at Brooklyn Nets.

Milwaukee Bucks at Brooklyn Nets: 4:30 PM PT

The Milwaukee Bucks are currently the  No.2 team in the Eastern Conference and are led by Giannis Antetokounmpo. They're coming off a recent win over the Philadelphia 76ers, 118-116. A win for the Bucks would mean they could get closer to the No.1 spot in the conference. However, they're facing one of the best offenses in the NBA tonight.

The Brooklyn Nets are much further down in the Eastern Conference than the Milwaukee Bucks are. Brooklyn currently sits at the eighth-place position and a loss could move them back to No.9. The good news is they'll have Kyrie Irving in the lineup for tonight's game. This should help out the Nets chances as they face the Bucks.

Our pick for Milwaukee vs. Brooklyn: Brooklyn Nets -2

Los Angeles Lakers at Utah Jazz: 7:00 PM PT

The Los Angeles Lakers are in a dangerous position in terms of playoff contention right now. They sit at the tenth-place position in the Western Conference and a loss could move them out of the top ten. Tonight, they face the Utah Jazz, with both Anthony Davis and LeBron James ruled out. It's going to take a team effort to overcome this obstacle.

The Utah Jazz is in a bad position as well, losing five straight games, the most recent to the LA Clippers. The Clippers were dealing with a lot of injuries as well and the Jazz essentially handed them the game. Tonight, they'll get the chance to redeem themselves against a battered Lakers team.

Our pick for Los Angeles vs. Utah: Los Angeles Lakers +13
