Let's take a look at a few games worth watching and the best bets to make.
There are a ton of games happening in Major League Baseball today, giving you the chance to watch some incredible matchups. Below, we're going to take a look at a few of them that you should definitely tune in to watch.
Tampa Bay Rays at New York Yankees - 7:05 PM ET
The first game we're going to take a look at is the Tampa Bay Rays versus the New York Yankees. The Rays, with a record of 35-26 this season, lost yesterday to the Yankees, 2-0. However, today they'll send out one of their best pitchers, Shane McClanahan, to face the Yankees batters.
McClanahan has a record of 7-2 as a starter this season with an ERA of 1.87. With a strong pitcher on the mound, the Rays have a much better chance of winning this one. However, the Yankees are also sending out one of their best pitchers, Nestor Cortes.
Cortes has a record of 5-2 with a similar ERA at 1.96. Cortes has pitched 64.1 innings compared to McClanahan's 72.1. The Yankees also have better bats, with a team batting average of .249. You should keep this in mind when watching today's game. In terms of betting, we'll actually take the upset today and take the Rays +125 here.
Ricky's Pick: Tampa Bay Rays +125
Los Angeles Angels vs. Los Angeles Dodgers - 10:10 PM ET
The next game we'd recommend watching is the Los Angeles Angels facing the LA Dodgers. The Angels have lost two games in a row, most recently a 2-0 loss to the Dodgers. The good news is the Dodgers didn't run away with last night's game. This gives the Angels an idea of what to expect from them tonight.
However, the Angels have to remember that the Dodgers have some of the best pitching in Major League Baseball, even without Walker Buehler. On the mound for the Angels today is Reid Detmers, who has a 2-2 record as a starter. The Dodgers will start another of their 7+ win SPs Tyler Anderson.
Anderson is 7-0 as a starter with an ERA of 3.07 this season. With such a strong arm leading the game, the Angels' chances have dramatically plummeted. It's also important to note that the Dodgers are batting .247 as a team this season. Take the Dodgers at home -190 as they face the Angels for the second time this season.
Ricky's Pick: Los Angeles Dodgers -190
