Facing elimination, the Celtics will look to stave off a Warriors win.

Today, we head into Game 6 of the NBA Finals and Golden State has a 3-2 lead over the Boston Celtics. However, the Warriors now have to travel to Boston and would need to beat the Celtics at home to end the series.

This process is much easier said than done, especially since the Celtics have a 28-13 record at home. The Warriors have beat the Celtics in TD Garden, so that's an important thing to keep in mind today.

At the moment, the Celtics are the favorites to win this game, which is partly surprising to us. Even with them playing at home they haven't found much of an answer for the Warriors' offense. In Game 5, the Celtics had trouble stopping Andrew Wiggins, who went 12 for 23 and scored 26 points.

What we will say about the Celtics is they did well shutting down the Warriors' perimeter shooting. Wiggins shot 0-6 from the three-point line and Stephen Curry went 0 for 9. Overall, the Warriors shot 22.5% from beyond the arc.

Still, we don't expect the Warriors to have such poor shooting this time. In fact, because of the recent game, we think the Warriors will do much better from beyond the arc. This is especially true if Klay Thompson can get going early.

In order to combat this, the Celtics need to do well in terms of shooting and scoring as well. Throughout the series, the Boston Celtics have averaged just 103 points per game. Needless to say, against the Warriors, this kind of offense won't lead to any victories.

The last time the Celtics beat the Warriors was at home in Game 3. They scored 116 points and were led by Jaylen Brown who put up 27 on his own. They should look to Brown for some extra help in tonight's game.

The big question is who will cover the spread. The Celtics come in at -3.5 tonight, since they're facing elimination we think they'll come away with a win here.
