Spurs received three first-round picks and Danilo Gallinari in the trade.
In a huge move for the Atlanta Hawks, the team sent Danilo Gallinari and three first-round picks to the San Antonio Spurs for Dejounte Murray.
The Hawks are sending a 2023 first-round pick via the Charlotte Hornets plus their own 2025 and 2027 first-round picks to the Spurs in the deal. There will also be a pick swap in 2026, sources told ESPN.
It was also stated that the 2025 and 2027 first-round picks are unprotected. Although the Hawks lost picks, they gain an All-Star guard to join Trae Young in the backcourt. Murray and Young will be the first pair of teammates in NBA history who each averaged 20 points and 8 assists per game in the previous season.
Murray took to Twitter to thank San Antonio, stating: "SAN ANTONIO I LOVE YOU FOREVER…..
