The Manchester United manager said he plans to have the striker next season.

Erik ten Hag did reveal that he’s had a conversation with Cristiano Ronaldo regarding him wanting to depart from Man United. However, Hag said the two haven’t talked since.
At a news conference on Monday, Hag said: “He's not with us and it's due to personal issues.”
He went on to talk about his plans for Ronaldo: “We are planning for Cristiano Ronaldo for the season and that's it. I'm looking forward to working with him. I have read [that he wants to leave], but what I say is Cristiano is not for sale, he is in our plans and we want success together.”
He continued: “I spoke with him before this issue came up, I had a conversation with him and I had a good talk. That is between Cristiano and me, what I can confirm is we had a really good conversation together.”
Manchester United has acquired Christian Eriksen who is expected to sign a three-year deal following a medical and could join up with the club in Australia.
Hag added: “We know what we want. We not only want new players, we want the right new players. We have a good squad, there's huge potential, only when we find [the right players to make] an improvement in our squad we will do [it].”
He also spoke on positions the club is focused on, stating: “Definitely we are searching for players in midfield. We have a need and we are still looking for players.”
It was also revealed that Harry Maguire will remain club captain. At the moment, Maguire is away from the group due to a minor injury.
