It looks like another golfer will be exiting a major tour after Sergio Garcia’s latest announcement. The golfer stated he’s “not feeling loved” after joining LIV Golf.

As a former Masters champion, Garcia is likely to be missed on the tour. However, many golfers are receiving negative attention solely due to joining LIV Golf.

If he does quit the DP World Tour, Garcia will be ineligible for future Ryder Cups.

Garcia told Spanish reporters: “I am quite clear about what I am going to do with the European circuit. Probably leave it. I want to play where I feel loved and right now in the European Tour I am not feeling loved.”

He continued: “I am very happy with what I have achieved, and I am going to try to enjoy it. I will play less and will spend more time at home. If I cannot play any more major, that's the way it is, but it is not something that bothers me a lot. I am feeling sad because of the Ryder Cup but right now in the way I am playing I won't be selected.”

Many players have been critical of LIV Golf, this includes Garcia's former European Ryder Cup captain Thomas Bjorn. According to Garcia, Bjorn had a few choice words for him as well.

Garcia stated: “When Thomas Bjorn -- former Ryder Cup captain -- came to the BMW Championship and told us: 'We don't love any of you and all players say so.' ... I already have an age and had enough suffering to be enduring nonsense like that.”

It hasn’t been confirmed by anyone else that Bjorn has said these words. Regardless, it would seem that Garcia will spend more time at home and with LIV Golf than he will anywhere else.
