The details of the deal remain unknown but McVay feels "good" about it.

With the start of the season just around the corner, it definitely makes sense that Sean McVay has signed a contract extension with the Los Angeles Rams.

McVay won the Super Bowl last season for the Los Angeles Rams so this extension was something that many believed was just around the corner.

Apparently, he actually signed the extension back in July but didn’t report it because General Manager Les Snead hadn’t signed an extension yet.

On why he waited, McVay said: “We wanted to be able to announce that when both of us [had] gotten done.

“It is something that we've been taken care of, but it is very important for Les and I to kind of have that represented as we're a partnership and a pair.”

His team-first mentality is something that has been applauded throughout his time with the Los Angeles Rams. The contract details weren’t disclosed but it’s believed that it is a long-term deal with the team.

McVay added: “These things, they take time, but I think it is important.

“We had a respect for the process. We wanted it to be able to be announced when both Les and I got done because of the partnership. And I think it's only gotten better as we go, but that's kind of where it's at right now.”

Through five seasons, McVay has earned a 55-26 record with the Los Angeles Rams and a Super Bowl victory.

Snead joined as the team’s general manager back in 2012 and completed blockbuster trades including the Matthew Stafford, Odell Beckham Jr., and Von Miller trades.

The team also extended Cooper Kupp and reworked Aaron Donald’s deal to make him the highest-paid non-quarterback in the league.
