The key here is the second-string quarterbacks, Tyrod Taylor and Brian Hoyer. Taylor has more physical talent and has had success as a starter in the past.

He’ll be operating an offense that ranked 31st in the NFL in points per game (15.2). Keep in mind that it’s only preseason so the New England defense could be resting starters as well.

Speaking of defense, the Giants allowed 24.5 points per game last season, one of the worst in the league. The good news for them is that Mac Jones is out and behind Hoyer is Bailey Zappe.

Coming in as 2.5-point favorites, the New York Giants should be able to get a win tonight. The Patriots rely on their starters to do most of the heavy lifting. The Giants, however, have a mobile and capable backup quarterback that can run the offense well.

You could likely make the argument that Taylor is looking to earn the starting job so he’ll perform even better. Since they’re only -2.5 tonight, the best bet in this one is the New York Giants.
