San Francisco Giants at Los Angeles Dodgers Betting Preview

 | September 5, 2022

Both the Giants and the Dodgers are starting strong pitchers.

Two NL West teams will face off tonight as the San Francisco Giants take on the Los Angeles Dodgers. San Francisco is currently on a three-game winning streak heading into this game.

The Giants, who have struggled against the Dodgers, are starting Logan Webb, one of their best pitchers. Webb has a record of 11-8 this season with a 2.89 ERA.

Over the course of 165 innings, Webb has thrown 137 strikeouts and allowed just 10 home runs. Frankly, he’ll need to be at his best when he faces the batters of the Dodgers.

The good news is the Giants have a few strong batters themselves, including Wilmer Flores. As a team, the Giants have an average of .234, which isn’t great but they’ve performed much better in recent games.

Last night they beat the Philadelphia Phillies 5-3 and won the two previous games as well.

The Los Angeles Dodgers are sending out one of their better pitchers as well, Andrew Heaney. Heaney hasn’t pitched much this year, only 46.2 innings but has shown incredible arm talent.

Heaney has an ERA of 2.12 in his time on the mound, an impressive feat. He’s also backed up by some incredible batters which will help him win this game.

As a team, the Dodgers have a batting average of .261, the second-best average in the league. They have the most runs (716) and have the best on-base percentage (.337) as well.

With Heaney on the mound and the talented group behind him, we’ll take the Dodgers over the Giants tonight.
