Milwaukee Brewers at Colorado Rockies Betting Preview

 | September 6, 2022

Both the Brewers and the Rockies have a lot to prove this evening.

The Milwaukee Brewers have a record of 71-63 this season and are 36-37 on the road this year. Tonight, they face the Colorado Rockies of the NL West, who have a 57-79 record.

Yesterday, the Brewers pulled off a 6-4 record over the Rockies, marking only their second win in their last five games.

Milwaukee is sending out Brandon Woodruff, who has a 9-4 record with a 3.54 ERA. Over the course of 114.1 innings, Woodruff has thrown 136 strikeouts and has allowed 14 home runs.

At the plate, the Brewers have a .235 average, which is far worse than the Rockies. They’ll need to do much better at the plate today or run the risk of losing this game.

The Colorado Rockies are 36-33 at home, performing much better than they do on the road. They have a far better betting average at .258 which will definitely help them tonight.

On the mound for the Rockies is Chad Kuhl, who has struggled in recent games. He has a 6-8 record with a 5.19 ERA over the course of 112.2 innings.

Each of these teams has its strengths and weaknesses, for the Brewers, it’s at the plate. However, Brandon Woodruff gives the Brewers the edge over the Rockies in terms of pitching.

Because of this, we’ll go with the Brewers on the road over the Rockies at -190. Look for the Brewers to get a good start with Woodruff on the mound and hold the lead until the end.
