Denver Broncos at Seattle Seahawks Betting Preview
Ricky Gray | September 12, 2022
This Monday night game will see Wilson face his former team in Seattle.
When the NFL schedule was first released many fans marked this game on their calendar. Russell Wilson will return to Seattle, this time in a different uniform as a Denver Bronco.
The superstar QB is looking to get a solid start to his season by beating his former team. The good news for Wilson is he has a lot of strong players behind him to help out.
One of these players is Jerry Jeudy, one of the best wide receivers in the AFC. Along with him, is Courtland Sutton, so Wilson has his duo of top wide receivers.
The Broncos come into this game as seven-point favorites and -335 on the Moneyline. The only problem is we haven’t seen this team's starters on the field yet.
Because of this, the team could have some chemistry issues early on. With Wilson under center, they should be able to iron it out quickly.
In Seattle, Geno Smith will be the new starting quarterback, which might not last long. Smith is a journeyman that has been around the league for a while but hasn’t had much success.
Last season, the Seahawks ranked 11th in rushing yards per game, averaging 122 yards per game. They’ll likely rely more on their running game than on letting Smith pass.
The Broncos defense is also something to watch here, as they ranked third last season. Allowing only 18.9 points per game, be sure to bet the under on this game.
This will likely be a low-scoring game but we’ll take the Broncos -7 and the under.
Ricky’s Pick: Denver Broncos -7, UNDER
