Arizona Diamondbacks at Los Angeles Dodgers Betting Preview
Ricky Gray | September 20, 2022
The Dodgers are sending out one of the best pitchers in the league today.
The Arizona Diamondbacks have a record of 68-79 and will more than likely miss the postseason. Still, that doesn’t mean they won’t try to get a key win tonight.
They’re facing the Los Angeles Dodgers, arguably the best team in baseball. Although they’re heavy underdogs, don’t count the Arizona Diamondbacks out so quickly.
They have a history of pulling off upsets when people least expect it. Their last win over the Dodgers was on September 14, when they pulled off a 5-3 win in the 10th inning.
On the mound for the Diamondbacks, today is Drey Jameson, who has a 1-0 record this year. He hasn’t done much pitching this season but has thrown five strikeouts in that time.
The Diamondbacks definitely need a stronger batting group as the team has an average of .230. Compared the Dodgers, the Diamondbacks are behind the curve when it comes to batting.
After winning four games in a row, the Los Angeles Dodgers have broken the 100-win mark and are 102-44 this season. They have a 50-18 record at home which is definitely impressive.
They already have the NL West locked up and are likely to win the National League as well. Still, the Dodgers aren’t letting off the gas as they head into this game against the Diamondbacks.
On the mound tonight is Tyler Anderson, who has a 15-3 record with a 2.62 ERA this season. Over 161.2 innings, Anderson has thrown 119 strikeouts and allowed just 13 home runs.
The Dodgers have a team batting average of .260 and are well-equipped to win this game at home. Look for the Dodgers to earn another win, moving their record to 103-44.
Ricky’s Pick: Los Angeles Dodgers -335, OVER
