Cooper Rush could work towards a starting job with a win here.

The Monday Night Football game is going to be an NFC East showdown between the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants, surprisingly the Giants are the favorites.

In a way, this makes sense because the Giants are 2-0 heading into tonight’s game. Still, Cooper Rush can continue to fight for a starting job by defeating a division rival on the road.

The Cowboys are coming off of a win last week over the Cincinnati Bengals, the reigning AFC Champions. That win is what began the talk surrounding Cooper Rush’s potential.

Although they only scored 20 points against the Bengals last week, they were much more balanced as an offense earning 337 total yards.

Now, they had a turnover, something that will need to be addressed but they were able to secure a 17-3 lead by the end of the second quarter.

The New York Giants are coming off of a 19-16 win over the Carolina Panthers. This team’s sole focus is on their running game, averaging 170.5 rushing yards per game.

They’ll likely try to establish the run against the Cowboys early, which might not work. Since Dallas knows the Giants are going to try to run often, they’ll find a way to slow them down.

The spread has the New York Giants as only one-point favorites, so this game is essentially a pick ‘em. Because of this, we find that it would be better to actually take a Moneyline bet.

The Cowboys are -105 on the Moneyline, a spread that we definitely like a lot. Rush is trying to prove that he has what it takes to start and we think he’ll do that tonight.
