New York Yankees at Houston Astros Game 2

SP Luis Severino will face SP Framber Valdez in the second game of this series.

The New York Yankees come into this game down 0-1 in the series but last night was a pretty close game.

For a while, the game was tied at 1-1 but the Houston Astros opened it up by scoring two runs in the sixth inning, taking a 3-1 lead.

Although the Yankees tried to rally back, they could not get the lead and the Astros ended up winning 4-2.

The Yankees will send out starting pitcher Luis Severino, who had a 7-3 record during the regular season. In that time, he posted an ERA of 3.18 with 112 strikeouts.

As a team, the Yankees have a .241 batting average, which isn’t great but it’s definitely not the worst average. The real question is can they stop the Houston Astros tonight?

Framber Valdez, one of their best pitchers is getting the start for the Astros. With a 17-6 record during the regular season, Valdez had the third-best record in Major League Baseball.

Valdez boasts an ERA of 2.82 heading into this game, giving the Astros a chance to win again. After how the Astros performed yesterday, it seems like a 2-0 start is just around the corner.

At the plate, the Houston Astros have a batting average of .248, a fairly strong average. To pull off a win tonight, however, we’d like to see more from their batters.

They need to drive runs in because one good hit from the Yankees Aaron Judge can change the course of the game.

Still, the Astros are playing at home and starting the better pitcher, so we’ll take them.

Ricky’s Pick: Houston Astros -155, UNDER
