San Antonio Spurs vs. Sacramento Kings Betting Preview

img/news/nba.jpg

After going 1-4 in their last five games, the Spurs are pushing for a win.

This season hasn’t been very kind to the San Antonio Spurs, who have a 6-9 record to start the year. The good news is with a few wins they’ll be back to the .500 mark.

The problem is, they’re facing the Sacramento Kings who have really been impressive this season and have a 7-6 record at the moment.

The Spurs have gone 1-4 in their last five games with one awful 132-95 loss to the Golden State Warriors a few nights ago. Because of their recent performances, they’re heavy underdogs here.

Coming in as seven-point underdogs isn’t a bad thing but it’s tough to say they’ll cover the spread. In most of their recent games, they haven’t been able to keep it close.

They’re also facing a team that beat the Warriors 122-115 on November 13. Considering the Spurs lost by over 30 points to the Warriors, we have to keep that in mind.

The Sacramento Kings have gone 4-1 over the course of their last five games. This team is impressive and led by De’Aaron Fox who averages 24.6 points per game.

It’s not just the Kings offense that has been impressive either as they’ve found ways to limit the effectiveness of their opponent's offense.

Being able to play well on both sides of the ball is vital to the growth of any team. On a four-game winning streak, the Kings have proven that teamwork can beat superstars.

Although the spread is slightly larger than we’d like it to be, we’ll take the Kings over the Spurs tonight.

Ricky’s Pick: Sacramento Kings -7, OVER
