Kansas City Chiefs at Los Angeles Chargers Betting Preview
Ricky Gray | November 18, 2022
Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs will face Justin Herbert and the Chargers this weekend.
The Kansas City Chiefs have another opportunity to establish themselves as the best team in the AFC with a win this weekend.
On Sunday night, they’ll face off against the Los Angeles Chargers, another AFC West team, ranking second in the division.
The Chiefs are the No.1 team in the division with a record of 7-2. What’s also pretty impressive is they have a 3-1 record when playing on the road this season.
However, the Chiefs can’t afford to take the Chargers lightly, even if they’ve already earned a win over them. The first time these two played it stayed pretty close and the Chiefs only won by three points.
On Sunday, they’ll look to get a more dominant win over a division rival but they’ll have to do it without a few players.
Juju Smith-Schuster, the starting wide receiver for the Chiefs, has been ruled out of tonight’s game. Wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling is currently listed as questionable along with RB Jerrick McKinnon.
The Chiefs aren’t the only team dealing with injuries as the Los Angeles Chargers will likely be without WR Keenan Allen, one of Justin Herbert's top targets.
This season has been a strange one for the Chargers, at times they look to be firing on all cylinders. At other times, they fall to teams like the Seattle Seahawks.
Normally, when a team is playing at home they have a record over .500 but that isn’t the case for the Chargers. It’s also important to remember they have one of the worst defenses in the league.
On average, the Chargers are giving up 25.3 points per game. Because of this, we’re going to take Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs on the road.
Ricky’s Pick: Kansas City Chiefs -5, UNDER
