Josh Allen and the Bills are searching for another win on the road.
Tied for first place in the AFC East, the Buffalo Bills have a record of 7-3 this season. They have one of the best offenses in the league and that was confirmed yet again last week.
Beating the Cleveland Browns 31-23, the Bills were able to win this game by essentially kicking field goals. They only had a few touchdowns and QB Josh Allen threw for just 197 yards.
Their win against the Cleveland Browns wasn’t perfect as their defense gave up 23 points, which is rather uncharacteristic.
Still, they found a way to win and break the two-game losing streak that they were on. This week, they’ll face the Detroit Lions, a team similar to the Cleveland Browns.
As a team, the Bills have the second-highest-scoring offense in the NFL, averaging 28.1 points per game. They have the fifth-ranked defense in terms of points allowed at 17.4.
The Detroit Lions are 4-6 this season and rank second in the NFC North. It’s not very likely that they earn the top spot in the division but a win here would help.
One thing the Lions do well is score points, averaging 25 points per game and ranking eighth in the NFL in that category.
The problem is they have the worst defense in the NFL, allowing an average of 28.2 points per game. Because of this, we can’t take them over the Buffalo Bills in tonight’s game.
The Bills are 9.5-point favorites and although it’s a large spread, we’ll take them on the road over the Lions.
