As of April 12, 2025, DraftKings Casino's progressive jackpot in Michigan has climbed to an unprecedented $9.29m prize, beating the previous record set just over a month prior.
Having set a new record for the highest online casino jackpot to ever be offered, DraftKings Casino in Michigan has seen its progressive jackpot rise to $9.29m as of April 12, with players having the chance to win through over 1,000 games launched on the platform.
Originally debuting in 2018, DraftKings Casino is now live in five US states and Ontario, Canada, providing customers with a regulated gaming experience and celebrating over 70 progressive jackpot winners. Just over a month prior, DraftKings Casino in Michigan awarded a progressive jackpot that had reached $9.28m to a player on the Irish Pot Luck slot game, setting the previous national record for the highest online casino jackpot ever awarded.
The progressive jackpot can be won while playing any of more than 1,000 eligible casino games on the DraftKings Casino platform. To be eligible to win the prize, players must opt-in to the jackpot by wagering an additional 20 cents on top of the wager they make for each game they play.
For example, if one opts-in to the progressive and is playing a slot machine for 50 cents per spin, each spin will add an additional 20 cents to the wager, making each spin cost a total of 70 cents. The add-on is available on slot machines and other popular games like DraftKings Rocket, DraftKings Fire Buffalo and DraftKings Blackjack, but progressive jackpot is only available to players physically present in Michigan and players must be 21 years of age or older in order to play.
DraftKings originally debuted in Michigan on January 22, 2021, including both its sportsbook and online casino offering. Bay Mills Resort & Casino, Michigan’s longest-operating gaming facility, proved instrumental in providing access to DraftKings’ online sportsbook and casino to the state and eligible residents.
