NFL bets with valuable pre-season odds

Operators such as FanDuel are continuing to offer intriguing props and futures for bettors, including specials from influencers like Kay Adams and shifting awards odds.

Prior to the 2025-2026 NFL regular season kicking off next September, operators are continuing to discover new ways of keeping bettors’ interest level high even while the sport remains in an offseason period. The 2025 NFL Draft certainly helped sportsbooks such as FanDuel list new wagers and options for bettors to seek out, also leading to intriguing props that the operator is still listing at the time of writing.

Whether it be futures odds, award winners or special selections from influencers such as Kay Adams, FanDuel is still providing a variety of ways bettors can cash in on football before the first touchdown is even scored. With the vast majority of free agents signed, rookies drafted and trades executed, odds should remain stagnant unless a serious injury were to occur or other substantial news of such nature.

Kay Adams’ Around the Horns is a specialized prop where each of the Buffalo Bills, Cincinnati Bengals, Denver Broncos and Tampa Bay Buccaneers to qualify for the postseason, holding odds of +550 currently on FanDuel. Starting with Buffalo, the reigning AFC East champions have made the Playoffs in six consecutive seasons and feature the 2024-2025 Most Valuable Player (MVP) in Josh Allen.

The Bills are the least frightening part of the wager by far, given the presence of Allen and a relatively weak division that should make for a guaranteed double-digit win season for the franchise. Even if a division foe such as the New England Patriots or Miami Dolphins takes a massive step forward this season, it’s highly unlikely the Bills falter enough to miss out of the 2025-2026 postseason, unless Allen were to be injured for the first time in his career.

Cincinnati may represent the scariest portion of the parlay given the Bengals failed to qualify for the postseason last year, but it could be argued the team’s defense can only improve from a downright terrible performance throughout 2024-2025. Having given up multiple 30-plus-point outings to the opposition, the Cincinnati defensive unit wasted Joe Burrow’s terrific 2024-2025 campaign, in which he threw for over 4,900 yards and 43 touchdowns.

If not for missing out on the Playoffs, there is a genuine chance Burrow may have taken home his first MVP award instead of Allen, as last year’s regular season most certainly represented the best of his career. With a defense that can only go up and an offense that still features Burrow, JaMarr Chase and Tee Higgins, there is no bounceback candidate more obvious than the Bengals in 2025-2026, so bettors should remain faithful in the parlay.

Denver and Tampa Bay were each postseason participants last season with little reason to doubt as to why either franchise would fail to do so once again, as Broncos quarterback Bo Nix should continue improving under head coach Sean Payton while the Buccaneers added to an already potent offensive unit. Not only should Nix mount an offense that is near the top of the league, but the Broncos defense finished as a top-three unit across numerous statistics throughout 2024-2025.

The franchise drafted cornerback Jahde Barron in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft, forming a potentially devastating duo with Patrick Surtain for opposing quarterbacks to throw against. Tampa Bay selected wide receiver Emeka Egbuka, surprising given the presence of Mike Evans and Chris Godwin in the pass catching room but still helping quarterback Baker Mayfield continue producing career-high numbers with the franchise. Mayfield threw for 4,500 yards and 41 touchdowns in 2024-2025, and should carry Tampa Bay to yet another postseason appearance amidst a relatively awful NFC South division.

While Denver’s AFC West division has not exactly been a huge success outside of the three-time Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs in recent years, the Las Vegas Raiders also appeared poised to make a significant run to the postseason this year. Having brought on Pete Carroll to lead the roster, the former Seattle Seahawks head coach and Super Bowl champion represents the best leader Las Vegas has had in the building for quite some time.

Not only that, the Raiders traded a third round draft pick for quarterback Geno Smith, which should provide stable play at the position for the first time since Derek Carr departed the franchise after 2022. With a defense that still includes ferocious linemen in Maxx Crosby and Christian Wilkins, the Raiders only need average play from both units to experience a massive positive regression in 2025-2026.

At +1400 to win Coach of the Year on FanDuel, there is a realistic chance Carroll vastly improves the Raiders from the franchise’s 4-13 record in 2024-2025, leading to the sixth overall selection of running back Ashton Jeanty. Pairing the former Boise State rusher with tight end Brock Bowers, Smith and wide receiver Jakobi Meyers finally provides enough weaponry to showcase a league-average or better offense.

Carroll also oversaw the hiring of new offensive coordinator Chip Kelly, who brings years of NFL experience and is coming off a National Championship with the Ohio State Buckeyes where he helped numerous playmakers stand out during the year. Combining Carroll and Kelly’s expertise with defensive coordinator Patrick Graham should instill a confidence not felt by Raiders in quite some time, while Carroll’s +1400 odds for the honor could become favorable for bettors before long.
