Evolution Stock Market Live Casino review: Crash out or cash out?

img/news/stockmarket.jpg

The latest game from Evolution has dropped, and it lands somewhere between a Game Show and a Crash game. Keep reading the Evolution Stock Market review to check out the features, gameplay mechanics, and our thoughts on it.

Evolution is no stranger to the Live Casino scene, after all, this is the same provider behind Crazy Time, Funky Time, Monopoly Live and Imperial Quest.

The company was founded back in 2006 and has been hailed as revolutionising the Live Dealer scene in Europe. After opening its 100th live table and becoming the largest single-site casino operation in Europe, Evolution set sail and landed in the US in 2018. As they say, the rest is history…

This provider doesn’t just keep an eye on the biggest markets though, but also the trends with the most potential. Even if you’re only casually interested in online casinos, then you no doubt noticed the surge of Crash-style games that we saw last year.

The first Crash game is often attributed to MoneyPot in 2014, but 2023 saw the genre finally gain widespread popularity. Some of the biggest names in the market include Aviator, JetX, and Stake Crash - as well as the title often being used as an umbrella term for arcade games such as Mines, Plinko and Tower.

So, let’s take a look at the latest game from Evolution, which can be described somewhere between a Crash game and a Live Casino Game Show title…

What is Evolution’s Stock Market?

Stock Market is the latest game from Evolution and it mimics - that’s right - the stock market.

The betting is simple, as from a gameplay perspective, it’s a coin flip. You place your bet on either Up or Down, depending on whether you think the ‘stock market’ will rise or fall.

After all the bets are placed, the simulation runs, and you see the graph progress through a fictional day of trading. Your profits or losses will depend on how severe the market performed that day.

For example, if you place a bet on Up and it raises 50%, you’ll win 50% of your bet. However, if the market goes in the opposite way to your prediction, then you’ll lose the same amount of your bet.

There are also four variants built into the game itself. These can add a video stream with a live host who narrates the game, automatic re-wagering, and the choice between automatic and manual cashouts.

Is Evolution’s Stock Market fun?

If you like simple, arcade-style casino games, then you’ll probably find Evolution’s Stock Market a fun experience.

The premise is easy to pick up, and after a few rounds, you really feel like you understand the game. Stock Market isn’t crammed with unnecessary features that could clutter the experience, instead, it keeps the gameplay at the forefront.

The game cycles are quick, so you’re never bored while you wait for the next game to start. Each market day only takes a few seconds at most, and as the market is volatile, it can swing back into your favor even at the last moment.

It’s also incredibly fun to feel like you’re actually playing with the stock market itself. As NASDAQ and the others are so intimidating, and quite frankly, boring - it’s a rewarding experience to feel like you’ve beaten such an institution through a live casino game.

That being said, the theme itself may be a bit lacklustre. The stock market has never been the most exciting thing in the world, at least not for most people. But is that reflected in the iGaming scene too?

Well, according to Slotegrator, apparently 60% of men aged 25-24 gamble once a week. If you head over to popular online casinos such as Stake.com, then you’ll see that many of the players there have a keen interest in finance, crypto, and everything else in that scene.

So while the Stock Market might not be for everyone, perhaps its tailored perfectly for the niche audiences who have proven time and time again that they will flock to this kind of game.

Evolution is currently live in six US states, those being Connecticut, Delaware, Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
