The Michigan Lottery has been in existence since 1972 and provides funding for the stateÂ's public school system through a variety of online and scratch card games. They include Mega Millions, Powerball, Classic Lotto 47, Daily 3 DAY, Daily 3 EVE, Daily 4 DAY, Daily 4 EVE and Fantasy 5.

In the last financial year, the Michigan Lottery boasted annual sales of $2.4 billion and generated $770 million in net revenue for the state School Aid Fund, which helps public education programmes throughout Michigan. Players of the stateÂ's lottery collected $1.36 billion worth of prizes in this period of time.

The Lottery in Michigan was developed in the early 1970s with the Green Ticket Game in 1972. In 1975 the first instant game ticket was introduced, and the terminal-based Daily 3 game was started in 1977.
