A couple from Basingstoke have become millionaires following last FridayÂ's EuroMillions draw.

David and Sam Mackie were one of 25 winners to bag £1m in prize money, after deciding to buy a ticket on the day of the draw.

David received an email the following day informing him of the life-changing news.

The IT manager said: Â"I called my wife but she didnÂ't believe me. Once she saw my face, and I think I was shaking by this point, she decided to check.

Â"We both logged off and back on again to the account and the message was still there. I then had to wait 15 minutes to call Camelot and that was when it started to become real.Â"

If that wasnÂ't enough good news, the couple have also been given a free honeymoon, a whole two-and-a-half years after they got married, as the prize involves a 14-day trip to AustraliaÂ's Sunshine Coast with seven people of their choice.

They have wasted little time in deciding what to do with the money and have now started the process of buying a new home.
