Although the season is just beginning, there are already some "must-watch" games
We're only a week out from Opening Day in the MLB, but so much has happened already. Clayton Kershaw pitched a perfect seven innings, the Tampa Bay Rays are off to a fast start, and a few players have been put on IL.
However, we know that the one thing fans are most concerned about is which games to watch since there are so many. The good news is that we have a few that everyone should be watching on Thursday, April 14, 2022.
St. Louis Cardinals at Milwaukee Brewers - April 14 @ 2:14 PM PT
The first pick in our games to watch is the St. Louis Cardinals at Milwaukee Brewers. The Cardinals will put Adam Wainwright on the mound, who's 1-0 this season and has thrown six strikeouts in six innings. Aside from Wainwright, keep an eye on Nolan Arenado, who's batting .438 this season.
The Milwaukee Brewers will send out Brandon Woodruff to pitch against the Cardinals lineup. Woodruff is 0-1 this season, but the Brewers won't rely much on pitching in this game. They'll look to Christian Yelich and Rowdy Tellez to put the bat on the ball early and get a quick lead. From there, it'll be about holding the Cardinals off.

Toronto Blue Jays at New York Yankees - April 14 @ 4:05 PM PT
Our second game of the day to watch is an afternoon matchup between the 4-2 Blue Jays and 3-3 Yankees. Taking the mound for Toronto is Kevin Gausman, who's facing some tough opposition on the other side. Leading the batters for the Blue Jays is Vladimir Guerrero Jr., who leads the team in home runs (4), batting average (.391), and RBIs (8).
The pitcher tasked with limiting the effectiveness of Guerrero Jr. is Luis Severino. In three innings, Severino has thrown five strikeouts and gave up five hits. The good news for the Yankees is they have a strong group of batters to rely on. One of them is Anthony Rizzo, who leads the team with three home runs and seven RBIs.
