Kirk Cousins, starting quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings, might have trouble against the pass rush of the Philadelphia Eagles. This is why we expect a much more balanced offense from Minnesota.

Last week, Cousins threw for 277 yards and two touchdowns, both of which went to WR Justin Jefferson. Jefferson had 184 yards on the day with ten receptions, leading the team.

Minnesota will have to get a little more creative as the face the Eagles tonight. Philadelphia knows that the Vikings are going to try to get the ball to Jefferson so it won’t be easy.

Getting RB Dalvin Cook started early will help the Vikings open up the offense, especially as the game goes on. The Eagles are likely going to do the same thing on offense.

Jalen Hurts, the starting quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles, passed for 243 yards last week but didn’t throw for a single touchdown.

Their passing offense opened up the running game, allowing Miles Sanders to earn 96 yards and a touchdown last week.

The Eagles also have to find a way to make sure the pocket stays clean for Jalen Hurts. Minnesota got to Aaron Rodgers a lot in Week 1 and they’ll look to do so again today.

The good news is Hurts has the ability to extend plays with his legs. If the pocket gets too hectic, he can gain yards on his own and could break a big run.

Because of his ability and the fact that the Eagles are at home, we’ll take them -1.5 over the Vikings.
