Can Taylor Heinicke overcome the Eagles' defense this evening?

Taylor Heinicke under center can mean a few different things for the Washington Commanders. His tendencies to sling the ball around have caused a few concerns this year.

On Monday night, the Commanders are facing a much tougher team in the Philadelphia Eagles. The one thing that they’ll need to focus on is protecting the ball.

There are a few players ruled out for the Commanders this time, RB J.D. McKissic, LB Cole Holcomb, and LB David Mayo are all ruled out for Monday night.

Guard Andrew Norwell is also questionable for this game as of November 12. With so many players sidelined, it’s not surprising that they’re 11-point underdogs in this game.

In terms of points per game, the Washington Commanders are averaging 17.7 each week. On defense, they’re allowing 21.3 points per game.

It’s been a tough season for the Commanders and unfortunately, it’s likely to get more difficult with the team they are facing today.

The Philadelphia Eagles have an 8-0 record and are 4-0 at home this season. They have a few players out but they’re still one of the best teams (if not the best) in the NFL.

Averaging 28.1 points per game, the Philadelphia Eagles come into this game as heavy favorites. They’ve done well covering spreads this year and are undefeated against the spread at home.

This one should be a pretty simple one for the Eagles, so we’ll take them over the Commanders at -11.
