Point Guard Mike Conley (Jazz) has been ruled out for this game.
The Detroit Pistons have had a tough season so far, starting off with a record of 4-15 with a 1-10 record on the road.
Ruled out of tonight’s game is starting point guard Cade Cunningham and small forward Saddiq Bey. Without these two, the Pistons will be in for an even tougher evening.
Through their last five games, the Pistons have gone 1-4, a rather unimpressive showing. To be fair, they’re coming off a 110-108 win over the Denver Nuggets last night.
In the span of just a day, the Pistons traveled from Denver to Utah to face the Jazz. Don’t underestimate this travel either, we’re expecting the Pistons to start off quite sluggish.
The question that should be asked at this point is whether they can cover the 11-point spread that has been set in front of them.
When taking a look at previous games, the Pistons have kept them pretty close. Even in a recent loss to the Sacramento Kings, the Pistons only lost by eight points.
The other factor to remember is that the Utah Jazz are without a few players as well. Mike Conley is sidelined along with guard Johnny Juzang.
The Jazz were recently beaten by the Los Angeles Clippers, 121-114 and have gone 2-3 over their last five games.
They’re a good team but they’ve had trouble winning games and injuries are still an issue. Because of this, we doubt they’ll be able to cover an 11-point spread today.
Look for the Detroit Pistons to cover the spread tonight, even if they don’t get the win.
